Community-driven, community benefit.
This project was initiated by a group of volunteers in 2007 who saw the potential and benefits of community-owned clean and renewable energy solutions.
We have conducted forums, workshops, stalls and info nights, asking residents to voice your ideas (and concerns) so that together we can create a project that is going to ‘fit’ our community and bring us the benefits we all want to see.
Based on community input, MASG will work to ensure that the ownership models for MASG Community Renewables are the most suitable for our community. We will draw on the experiences of other community energy cooperatives that have successfully developed community-owned energy projects. Such projects have been developed all over the world.
